The story of Ohio Wine Country begins with the area's abundant natural resources: Lake Erie shoreline, 4 of Ohio's 15 wild and scenic rivers, two state parks, and an abundant agricultural scene including a bustling grape-growing region. This is coupled with attractions like Geneva-on-the-Lake, Ohio's oldest summer resort and Pymatuning Lake, home to thousands of campsites around a 26-square-mile lake.
Ashtabula County has earned many titles. Nineteen covered bridges make this region Ohio's Covered Bridge Capital, including the longest and the shortest in the United States. A growing viticulture district, the Grand River Valley region boasts almost 3 dozen wineries and is proud to be called Ohio's Wine Country.
At the Visitors Bureau, we will help you to explore all of these things and more. We'll tell you about the hidden gems that you've not yet discovered, like where to see Queen Elizabeth's baby carriage or the largest piece of beach glass in the world! Our staff will listen to your interests and help you to spend time doing things that you love. The area is affordable, authentic, and easily accessible with experiences that will surprise and delight.
