The Red Eagle Gravel Grinder @ Red Eagle Distillery
The Red Eagle Gravel Grinder is a “Fondo Style” bike ride, meaning it is a timed event with published results. However this ride is open to riders of all abilities. The rides take place on Sunday May 19, 2024 at 10:00 AM. We have three different events for riders: 43 Mile Classic Gravel Grinder, 22.5 Mile Sprint Gravel Grinder and a Family 12 Mile Ride. Riders can ride fast and crush some gravel or simply ride a leisurely pace and enjoy the beautiful countryside. Riders will travel thru vineyards, past farms and orchards. All routes travel the quiet backroads of Ashtabula County. Gravel, Fat Tire, Cyclocross and Mountain bikes are appropriate for the courses. Road bikes are not recommended. 60%+ of the routes are on gravel, dirt or chip seal roads. Bike helmets are mandatory for all riders. After their ride, riders are encourage to stick around and enjoy our post ride festival: think beer, chili, food trucks, music and good times.
