Total Solar Eclipse

April 8th, 2024

On Monday, April 8, 2024, people within a 124-mile-wide band in the state of Ohio will experience a total solar eclipse, including right here in Ashtabula County. A total solar eclipse is a rare and spectacular event. On average, one happens somewhere on the Earth only once every 1.5 years. Only 21 total solar eclipses have crossed the lower 48 states in the entire existence of the United States. The last total solar eclipse visible in Ohio was in 1806. The next total solar eclipse in Ohio will be in the year 2099. Book your stay today!

April 5th, 6th & 7th, 2024

The Grand River Valley Total Eclipse Wine Trail is happening on April 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2024. Enjoy eclipse-themed appetizers paired with wine samples at 14 unique wineries for $10 per person, per location, or purchase the Total Eclipse Wine Trail Passport Package and save $70. Bunny Hop Wine & Cocktail Trail

April 9th – 30th, 2024

Hop from place-to-place sampling wines paired with Easter & Spring appetizers & desserts on the Bunny Hop Wine & Cocktail Trail! This trail runs from April 9th-30th, 2024 from Noon-5 pm each day. Wine & food samplings are $8 per person at each location. Wine N Bloom Trail

May 1st – 31st, 2024

The Wine n’ Bloom Trail is a self-driving wine trail. Noon to 6 pm each day. Enjoy wine samples and appetizers at each of the participating wineries. Collect a different flowering annual plant at each winery. At a designated winery you will pick up a peck basket to carry your plants and a wine glass per person. Geneva-on-the-Lake Summer Kick-off Parade

May 11th, 2024

Bring a chair and line the strip at Geneva-on-the-Lake for the summer kick-off parade to celebrate the start to the summer season. This local treasure has been a tourist hot spot for over 150 years! Many seasonal businesses will be opening this day to kick off their 2024 season.

Woof, Wag, & Wine Trail

June 1st-30th, 2024

Enjoy a food & wine tour with your pup on the Woof, Wag, & Wine Trail! Participating wineries include Grand River CellarsDebonne Vineyards, and Cask 307 Winery. You can spread your visits out over the entire event duration. Your ticket includes an appetizer, wine samples, a dog treat at each location, and a bandana for your dog.

Beach Glass Festival

June 22nd & June 23rd, 2024

Ashtabula Harbor will be filled with beach glass creations large and small during the Annual Beach Glass Festival. Vendors and collectors gather to show off their treasures. Come for beautiful beach glass art and delicious food.

Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club’s Summer Show

July 5th, 6th, & 7th, 2024

The Ashtabula County Antique Engine Club’s Summer Show is a continuous display of tractors, gas engines, antique cars and trucks, blacksmithing, wood carving, sawmill, planning, shingle mill, crafts, flea market, music, and so much more. Food is served all three days of the show. Dinner Bell Suppers Friday & Saturday nights starting at 4:30 pm.

Wine & Walleye Festival

July 27th & 28th, 2024

Live music & entertainment, lighthouse, river, and sunset boat tours. Saturday morning sailboat regatta is included in the festivities. D-Day Reenactment

August 15th, 16th, & 17th, 2024

D-Day Ohio, Inc. will invade the Lake Erie shores of Conneaut, and stage the largest D-Day (1944) living history reenactment in the country. Featuring over 1,800 reenactors, spectators will witness a living tribute to the veterans of WWII through dress, mock battles, and living history displays. Be sure to visit the D-Day Ohio WWII Museum while you’re in town.

Thunder on the Strip

September 5th, 6th, 7th, & 8th, 2024

The biggest bike rally in Northeast Ohio, always the weekend after Labor Day! The Geneva-on-the-Lake “Strip” is alive during Thunder on the Strip with stunt shows, live entertainment, vendors village, and a bike parade! Book your stay early, rooms fill up fast for this annual event.

August 31st – Sept 1st, 2024

Experience what Lake Erie has to offer! The annual Perch & Pilsner Festival takes place the second weekend in September. Visitors can enjoy craft beer, domestic beer, & local wines paired with delicious perch and walleye—all to the beat of live music with a fireworks finale.

Grape Jamboree Festival

September 28th & 29th, 2024

Celebrate the grape harvest at the annual Grape Jamboree, a two-day festival! Visitors will enjoy a variety of grape-flavored products, like grape pie, freshly squeezed grape juice, wine, grape ice cream, and more. Participate in grape stomping, shop the vendors, and enjoy live music.

Covered Bridge Festival

October 12th & 13th, 2024

Participate in a self-guided driving tour to each of our 19 covered bridges where you will find live music, refreshments, entertainment, and more. Visit the Covered Bridge Festival central celebration in Jefferson for the parade, Queen’s pageant, fair food, crafts, antique cars and antique engines, entertainment, & quilt show.

November 1st – 20th, 2024

December 7th & 8th and 14th & 15th, 2024

Come join the village of Geneva-on-the-Lake for a small town Christmas celebration during Holidays in the Village! For the first two weekends of December, the village will come alive with Christmas cheer and holiday activities. Holiday pop-up shops will be open for Christmas shopping and the restaurants & bars will be fully decorated and offering seasonal specials.
