What to expect
Established in May of 1924 and located near picturesque Lake Erie and Historic Bridge Street, the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library in the Ashtabula Harbor has been serving the educational and recreational needs of the public through its services, programming, and information resources for over 100 years! The library features the most extensive lendable DVD collection in Ashtabula County (11,000+), with new releases arriving daily. They also have books for all ages, from picture board books for infants to large print books and books on CD. Don’t see what you want on the shelves? With their ClevNet affiliation, you have access to over 10 million items, both in physical and digital form. Visit the Local History Room and browse many rare titles on Ohio history and local history. The room also features yearbooks and memorabilia from Harbor High School. Need to access the internet? The library has several public computers available for use and free public wi-fi if you prefer to bring your own device. They also offer a variety of programming throughout the year. Pre-school storytimes begin at 18 months, and adult programming always offers something new and interesting. The library also lends pickleball and tennis equipment for use on the nearby courts. Cozy up with a good book in their reading area and watch the Lake Erie waves crashing on Walnut Beach through the wall-to-wall windows.
