Geneva-on-the-Lake is quickly approaching it's 150th birthday!  In the 20th century, it was a favorite annual retreat for three friends: John D. Rockefeller, Harvey Firestone, and Henry Ford.  The gentlemen camped and fished at what is now known as Ohio's First Summer Resort.  Today, the area continues to draw visitors young and old with accommodations to fit every budget.  Geneva State Park and Marina offer abundant natural resources for the entire family to enjoy; Breakwater Beach even has a dog-friendly area.  The nostalgic beach-bum charm of what local's call "the Strip" is evident at businesses like Eddie's Grill where diners have enjoyed American favorites since 1950.  New attractions open every year:  Lake Erie Canopy Tours at The Lodge and Conference Center offers a kids rope course, a challenge course and a zipline experience along the shore.

But the area is no longer just a seasonal destination.  Year-round businesses like Crosswinds Grille offer upscale lakeside dining with menu ingredients sourced locally.  Old Firehouse Winery has events, entertainment and a full menu.  Looking for a local watering hole?  Stop by High Tide or The Triangle for a cold beer!  The Loft at Indian Creek is where you want to be to catch an event on the big screen.
