He served his country as a Marine after which began performing at places like the original Gilley’s in Pasadena\, Texas and the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville and had the honor of opening for the late Johnny Paycheck. While taking a break from music to raise a family and a move to Pennsylvania in 1992\, music and his love for it were never far out of reach.
