Ashtabula County Barn Quilt Trail

The Ashtabula County Barn Quilt Trail was established in 2014 by a group of passionate volunteers representing the quilting, arts, agriculture and tourism sectors of Ashtabula County. More than 110 barn quilts have been installed on public and private buildings as a result of their dedication to creating a trail in Ohio’s largest county. The barn quilts celebrate the county’s agricultural heritage, as well as its prominence in the Underground Railroad movement, natural areas preservation and Great Lakes maritime history. With barn quilts stretching from the Ashtabula Lighthouse to the county’s borders with Pennsylvania and Lake and Trumbull counties, the trail takes visitors into the heart and stories of Ashtabula County.
