Malek Metropark

What to expect

Located just off Parrish Road in Conneaut, Malek Metropark encompasses nearly 44 acres and features a one-mile, ADA-accessible walking loop with a charming Storybook Trail. Along the route, 15 storybook kiosks introduce families to frogs, turtles, dragonflies, cattails, and other natural wonders found throughout the park. Each kiosk also includes a QR code, allowing visitors to listen to the story as they explore the trail together. An observation platform overlooking one of the park’s ponds provides a perfect spot to watch frogs leaping from the water and dragonflies hovering above the surface. Near the open-air shelter, an ADA-accessible parking area connects to a trail leading to a 30-foot ADA-accessible fishing platform, making it easy for visitors of all abilities to enjoy the pond. Malek Metropark also offers a unique partnership with the Conneaut Public Library. Visitors can check out both a book and a hammock from the library and bring them to the Malek Metropark Hammock Reading Garden. There, families can relax beneath the warm sunshine, settle into a hammock, and enjoy a good book surrounded by the peaceful beauty of the park.
