As a member of the Ashtabula County Visitors Bureau, I pledge to comply with the stated Code of Ethics and understand non-compliance may result in revocation of the membership until the issue is resolved and reinstatement is approved by the ACCVB Board of Directors. As a membership organization, the Ashtabula County Visitors Bureau is committed to creating an environment of success that benefits our members by offering a variety of programs that promote Ashtabula County as a premier tourism destination. We have set high standards for ethical business practices that preserve the reputation of the CVB and its members. The Membership Code of Ethics assures consumers that ACCVB members are committed to integrity, quality products and services, and strive for excellence in promoting tourism in our region. - Members will conduct themselves in accordance with the highest standard of personal and professional behavior and will not act or authorize action which will be deemed as detrimental to the reputation of the ACCVB, its members or stakeholders. - Abide by all City, State, and Federal laws - All members must provide a clean, safe, and well-maintained business - Practice truth in advertising in the marketing and promotion of all businesses - Represent the ACCVB in a positive and supportive manner - Ensure customer satisfaction through courteous and respectful business practices - Account with the ACCVB must maintain good standing - Members shall not discriminate against any person of race, color, ethnic ancestry, national origin, religion, creed, age, gender, sexual orientation, marital status, medical condition or physical disability. - Members and their employees will not engage in disparaging behaviors that negatively affect the tourism industry If, in the unlikely event, a member breaches the ACCVB Membership Code of Ethics, the membership could be revoked without refund. Reasons for such action include, but are not limited to, the following: - Excessive complaints regarding quality, product, or service - Violation of City, State or Federal laws - Engagement by a member or their employee in acts of offensiveness that would adversely affect the reputation of the ACCVB or the local tourism industry - Negative comments in public forums by a member or their employee including, but not limited to, social media platforms, publications, and gatherings.
