Historic 19th Century Jefferson Depot Village 1890 becomes alive as you enter the gates into Ashtabula County's 19th century "living history village" in Jefferson, Ohio, the County Seat. Tour the original buildings filled with authentic furnishings. Walk-in your ancestor's footsteps, learn early history, skills, enter the 1872 L.S.& M.S. Railroad Station,(on the National Register),1838 One-Room Schoolhouse, 1848 Church, 1860 pharmacy, 1845 Post Office, the 1879 Carriage House with the original 1824 Fitch Estate doors. Climb aboard the PRR Caboose, learn the history of J. Warner, the 2nd resident here, in his tavern, get mail in the 1845 post office and more. OPEN: Saturday & Sunday 1:00 - 4:00, Monday & Thursday 10:00 - 4:00 Guides in period attire. $10.00 donation, under 10 free.
