Bissell Maple Farm
The Bissell's have been making maple syrup in Northeast Ohio since the late 1800's. The early pictures and postcards refer to the sugar-house in Austinburg, OH. Today, the sugar-house is located west of Rock Creek, OH at the family's farm. Over the last 10 years they have expanded their capability and capacity to meet the demand of their customers. Bissell Maple Farm now has a modern sugar-house and utilizes the latest technology and conveniences for efficient syrup making. They recently joined the Ohio Maple Producer's Association and will be on the March Maple Madness tour the first two Saturdays in March. Come taste their Bourbon Barrel Aged or Rum Barrel Aged maple syrups. They're delicious and not just for pancakes...try glazing ham, salmon, or brussel sprouts. Drizzling it over ice cream, baked apples and pumpkin pie!
