Commissioners exercise financial control of county expenditures, authorize public works, purchase land and buildings, let contracts, plan and administer welfare. The Board of County Commissioners also appoints other officials to operate various departments. Office is located in the county seat of Jefferson, in the Old Courthouse. Hours are M-Fri 8A-4:30P
