Lake Erie Flavor: Lake Erie Fried Walleye Tacos Recipe

Fried Walleye Ingredients:
Walleye fillets
Favorite Brand breading
Vegetable or peanut oil
Lime-Sriracha Aioli:
½ cup sour cream
⅓ cup olive oil mayonnaise
Juice from one lime
1 tsp. garlic powder
½ tsp. ground black pepper
1 tsp.–1 tbsp. Sriracha (depending on heat tolerance of audience)
Taco Toppings:
Red cabbage cut into thin strips
Diced tomatoes
Minced red onions
Cojita cheese
Minced cilantro
Cubed avocado
Directions:
Make the lime-sriracha aioli the day before by combining all the ingredients and mixing well. Place aioli in a plastic squeeze bottle.
Prepare toppings as described above.
With a paper towel, pat dry the walleye fillets and chunk into bite-sized pieces. Place walleye into favorite breading and shake until covered. Sift out breaded fish pieces.
Fry fish in vegetable or peanut oil that is 350–375 degrees for a three to five minutes depending on the thickness of the fish. Breading should have golden brown color. Place fish on a dish lined with paper towels.
Assemble taco with walleye, toppings, and a nice drizzle of the aioli.
