Black Door Tavern

A beautiful cocktail bar is on the second floor of a century-old home. Offering seasonal cocktails, tequila, gin, rum, and other drinks, including craft beers from across the state.  Ever-changing chef-created eclectic cuisine menu. Located in the Grand River Valley, the Black Door Tavern is full of history. The house was built in the late 1800s and was later owned by the Whittene family. In 1927, a Geneva Free Press story indicated the owner, John Whittene, was charged with prohibition-related offenses, and the word was that he ran a speakeasy, known as "The Brick House," out of the building.  Black Door Tavern's cocktail bar is open Monday–Thursday, 1:00–5:00 PM. The kitchen is open from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, and from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
